In the Balance presents new works in a range of mediums that are visual meditations on seeking equilibrium in an era of political and environmental uncertainty. The pieces on view translate and adapt the vocabulary of American quilts in paper, wood and concrete -drawing from a compendium of age-old patterns in combination with motifs that represent equality, democracy, inclusion, and cosmic images of the universe.
