The Art of Equal Pay Initiative

The Art of Equal Pay is an initiative organized by artist Michele Pred to confront and combat the gender pay gap for visual artists. Pledge to support equality amongst artists HERE. You don’t have to be an artist to do this – you can sign on as an art enthusiast, collector, gallerist, curator, activist, ally, feminist, educator, etc.

20,000 VOTE! Posters - October 2018

On the heels of the United Against Hate posters made in collaboration with graphic designer Lexi Visco in 2017, new VOTE! posters were generated with funding from a Civic Arts grant from the City of Berkeley to encourage greater voter participation in the 2018 midterms and 2020 elections.

20,000 copies of the posters (with versions in English and Spanish) were printed by Autumn Press in early October 2018 and sent to over 13 states with funds crowdsourced for shipping. The posters are visible in windows across the country and free pdf files are available at www.yourvotecampaign.com for download to print from home or send to a printer individually.

Holiday open house at another country studios

Sister Stars

Another Country Studios is the shared workspace of Lena Wolff and her wife artist and illustrator Miriam Klein Stahl. Every year in December the studio is open for a holiday open house with new large and small works available, holiday ephemera and handmade goods. This year the duo is joined by artist Jaime Knight, flower arranger Haia Sophia of Canopy Floral, with spirits by Fieldworks Collaborative. The event is a partial fundraiser for Sister District, an organization dedicated to turning red states blue in 2018 and beyond. Join us for one day only, on December 17th, 2017.
